Richard Dawkins lecture: The greatest show on earth live
April 15th, 2010 at 22:01Back in March I went to this lecture by Richard Dawkins hosted at the University of Auckland. I was intrigued by his comments about ‘thankfulness’ in it – interesting that people can start from the same place and come to a huge range of different places in their understanding of the world.

John Bishop had an interesting reflection on the “thankfulness” comments.
…” thankfulness must surely have an intended, if not a real, object (the child could not be grateful to Santa if she didn’t at least believe that Santa is real).”
